“Ik kreeg begin september via Monsterboard een mail met daarin een interessante vacature als backoffice medewerker voor een bedrijf met de naam Stellar BPO, dat zich in Nijmegen zou gaan vestigen. Na mijn sollicitatie via mail werd ik al snel gevraagd om op gesprek te komen. Maar omdat ik eind september geopereerd moest worden wist ik niet zeker of ik op de afgesproken dag wel fit genoeg zou zijn om daar heen te gaan. Na veel heen en weer gemail besloot men toen voor een sollicitatiegesprek via skype. Ik had wel wat bedenkingen, maar ging er toch in mee omdat ik het vermoeden had dat ik wellicht te “ouderwets” was en dat dit de nieuwe manier van werken zou zijn. Na mijn gesprek kreeg ik al snel de bevestiging dat ze vertrouwen in me hadden en met me verder wilden. Na nog wat heen en weer gemail kwam de vraag, of ik een eigen bankrekening had waarop de werkgever geld kon storten dat ik zou moeten gebruiken om betalingen te doen. Dat vond ik vreemd. Ik heb de mail hierover bij de bank voorgelegd en dit ook aan het zgn. bedrijf gemeld. Al snel kreeg ik te horen dat ze een andere oplossing hadden gevonden en dat een eigen rekening niet meer nodig was. Op al mijn vragen kreeg ik keurig antwoorden maar wel antwoorden die me niet echt verder hielpen.
Ondertussen was ik netjes met de eerste opdracht begonnen: zaken uitzoeken en in een excelfile zetten. Ik had ook aan het UWV gemeld dat ik per 1 november een baan zou hebben, maar omdat ik op dat moment geen telefoonnummer had van het bedrijf heb ik in de opmerkingen bij de melding naar het UWV gezet dat alle contact via mail, chat en skype is verlopen. Op dat moment werd ik door hen gewaarschuwd en ik ben toen zelf verder gaan spitten. Er bleek helemaal geen bedrijf gevestigd te zijn op het opgegeven adres, ook het naderhand gekregen telefoonnummer was vals, kortom: het bedrijf Stellar BPO bestond helemaal niet! Het waren al met al doorgewinterde oplichters.
Voor mij is het gebleven bij 8 uur voor niets werken en de angst voor identiteitsfraude. Dat heeft me dus nu een nieuw paspoort gekost. Van dit alles is melding gemaakt bij de Fraudehelpdesk en het CMI. Het tv-programma Kassa! besteedde er op 26 november aandacht aan. Inmiddels is er ook aangifte gedaan bij de politie.
Wellicht is het handig om mijn ervaring ook te melden in de nieuwsbrief en men mag mij hier altijd over benaderen. ”
